Cabin Policies and Overview

Relax under the treesThe historic Bruce Spruce guest ranch offers fifteen rustic, summer and fall log rental cabins and one large, modern log cabin (Faris House), perfect for larger groups. Cabins vary in size and capacity but all are charming with at least one double bed and up to five double beds. Most of these cabins are authentic full log structures with chinking and wood flooring.

All our cabins have electricity, refrigerator, gas oven with four burners, microwave, pots, pans, dishes and utensils, as well as a kitchen table with chairs. A pot bellied stove provides heat, with chopped wood easily available.

Each cabin has a half bath with cold running water. Hot showers are centrally located on the ranch grounds in clean, individual stalls with a private dressing area. There is also a central laundry facility that can be used for a small fee. Linens are not provided. Bring sleeping bags or sheets for full sized beds, blankets, pillows, kitchen and bath towels and cloths, bath soap, shampoo, and food. If flying into town, make arrangements for bedding and linens to be provided ahead of time for a fee of $25 per bed.

Policies:

  • Check-in time: between 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
    • If you arrive in the area early, please call 970-264-5374 to see if your cabin is ready. If you need to come in later, call to make arrangements.
  • Check-out time: by 10:00 am
  • Please note that all cabins are NON-SMOKING (cigarette or marijuana)
  • 5% cash discount (includes checks and travelers checks)
  • Taxes not included in price
  • Reservations on all summer cabins require a deposit of 1/3 of total lodging cost or no less than 1 night’s rent to be paid when a reservation is made. Upon arrival, guests are responsible for the total payment of all reserved nights. Reservations for Faris House: 50% deposit of total lodging or no less than 1 night’s rent.
  • Cancellations: If a cancellation is made at least 60 days before reservation, your deposit will be refunded less a $20 handling fee. For cancellations made less than 60 days before a reservation, the deposit will not be refunded. Cancellations for Faris House: reservation deposits are non refundable after December 31st.
