Hunting in Pagosa Springs, CO
Trophy Room Photos Below
Open for archery, muzzleloader, and first rifle seasons, Bruce Spruce Ranch is located right in the middle of prime elk, mule deer, and bear habitat. Surrounded by thousands of acres of National Forest, our location cannot be beat. We sit in unit 78 and are within a short drive of unit 77 and 771.
When you stay at Bruce Spruce Ranch we’ll go over maps with you for a more enjoyable hunt on public land. Bring your horses and put them in our paneled corrals for $15 a stay per horse. You need to bring the feed and keep them watered and clean the corrals. We invite you to come during archery, muzzleloading, and 1st rifle seasons.
Lodge in rustic cabins for a comfortable, affordable stay. The cabins are heated with a pot belly wood stove with a basic furnished kitchen and toilet with a central shower facility to shower in. Bedding is not provided during the 1st or 2nd rifle season so you need to bring bedding and pillows. It’s just a short drive or hike from your cabin to big game hunting. There are several different outfitters for the area nearby:
- Fawn Gulch Outfitters has the West Fork Drainage area as well as the area heading up to Wolf Creek Pass.
- Elk Heart Outfitters has some of the area down East Fork Road.
- If you are looking to hunt in the trophy special draw unit of 76 then Wilderness Adventures, Inc. is your outfitter.
