We Welcome You!
Although there is much history here, today Chris, Rusty and Brigette Hinger run the guest ranch while continuing to make improvements day to day. The ranch continues to have some fourth generations stay year to year. It is a great place to bring the family to relax, fish, hike or even do some horseback riding!
Chris is a principal at the Pagosa Springs Junior High School. He joins us for a portion of the summer along with his boys Jaden, Tate and Cam to help with the day-to-day operation. They help clean cabins, cut firewood, do some maintenance and they are there for any other odd jobs we need done.
Rusty is in charge of the outside work and cleans the cabins as well. He makes sure all the maintenance is done and the trees are cut and everything is running as it should be to make everyone’s vacation better.
Brigette is in the office most of the time doing the paperwork and keeping up with the reservations and helping the guests when they check in or out and is always there to answer questions while the guests are there. She is an avid huntress and fisherwoman. She was selected by Field and Stream to be a test panelists on women’s shooting vests, so she may be off taking some time to put those vests to the test. Her input will help other women decide what vest would be best for them. She also stays busy keeping up with her two young daughters, Brielle and Brooke, who think they are “big help” when it comes to helping the customers and working in the office!
Craig and Eugenia Hinger retired from the business in 1999 but still stay in the lodge in the summer. Craig helps out with the laundry and likes to do the tractor work needed on the ranch. Eugenia helps with the laundry as well and also works in the office when Brigette is not able to. They both enjoy having the “job” of watching and playing with Brielle and Brooke so Brigette can get more work done.
Occasionally you will even see some of the folks that stay in the trailer park all summer pitching in to help us on busy days where they are needed!
